Welcome to the world of decluttering

Where a Tidy Space means a Tidy Mind

Have you ever looked around your home and felt like the clutter was closing in on you? You're not alone. Life gets busy. We accumulate things. Paperwork piles up. Drawers become “just shove it in” zones. And before we know it, the stuff around us starts affecting how we feel inside.

That’s where decluttering steps in—not just as a way to tidy up, but as a gentle reset for your home, your head, and your heart.

Why Decluttering Matters

Decluttering isn’t about becoming a minimalist or throwing everything out. It’s about taking control of your space so that it works for you—not against you. It’s about letting go of what you don’t need to make space for what really matters.

At Task Tidy, I believe a tidy space leads to a tidy mind. That doesn’t mean perfection—it means peace. It means feeling lighter when you walk into a room, knowing where things are, and being surrounded only by what serves or sparks joy.

But Where Do You Even Start?

That’s the million-pound question, right? The idea of sorting through years of belongings can feel overwhelming. That’s why I’m here. Whether you need a supportive hand in your loft, help sorting out your paperwork, or someone to tackle your kitchen chaos alongside you—I offer friendly, practical support every step of the way.

We work together, at your pace, with no pressure and no judgement. We’ll laugh, we might get nostalgic, and we’ll definitely get stuff done.

The Journey Ahead

This blog will be a place where I share decluttering tips, before-and-afters, simple wins, and encouragement for anyone feeling weighed down by “life clutter.” Whether you're prepping for a move, making space for a new chapter, or just craving a calmer environment—I’m here to help

Supporting National Hoarding Awareness Week 2025

12th - 16th May

National Hoarding Awareness Week will shine a spotlight on hoarding disorder, with this year's theme focusing on "Hoarding Disorder & Executive Functioning" .

This theme emphasizes the challenges individuals face with planning, decision-making, and organization—core aspects of executive functioning that can significantly impact daily life.

Understanding the Challenges

Hoarding disorder is a complex mental health condition, often misunderstood as mere cluttering. It involves persistent difficulty discarding possessions, regardless of their actual value, leading to clutter that disrupts living spaces and daily activities. The emotional attachment to items, fear of losing important information, or the belief that items will be needed in the future contribute to the difficulty in letting go.
